Morning worship service - Sundays at 10:15 am (9:30 July and August)

What to Expect

Worship Style

During the school year we worship at 10:15 AM in a blended worship format.  What is blended? It means that we try and blend the best of traditional and contemporary worship so that all might worship in such a way that glorifies God and connects the people to one another and Jesus.

During the summer months (July and August), worship begins at 9:30 AM.

Parents with Children

Morning worship begins at 10:15 am with childcare for children under 3 provided.  Children age 3 through Middle School start in the sanctuary and then leave for Sunday School after the Children's Time (about 10 minutes into worship). For those with Disabilities

Worship and child care are on the ground level which has handicap accessible ramps on 3 of the 5 main entrances (the office entrance, the parking lot entrance, the Alfrerton Street entrance).  The building does have an elevator and handicap accessible restrooms are located on every floor.   The sanctuary has several shortened pews allowing worshipers to remain in their wheelchair during worship and not be obstructing the aisles.

Carter has a rich musical tradition and is home to one of the best church choirs in New England.  With a repertoire that spans Bach, Handel, Hayden, and Brahms to the top 40 of Christian Gospel and an assortment of African American Spirituals, you will hear a wide variety of music at Carter.
